Seaside is a small coastal town, once known for its local amusement park, Wonderland - now more famous as the site of a string of murders twenty-five years ago by a serial killer dubbed The Carnival Killer. Now, Wonderland is about to reopen, revitalizing the dying town. But when the Carnival Killer recants his confession about killing a high school girl called Lorelei, and the dead body of a young woman washes ashore, the truth about what happened to Lorelei twenty-five years ago - and what is happening now - threatens the very fabric of Seaside itself.
