A 16-year-old boy is missing in Tel Aviv. His mother is worried. Inspector Avraham is not. It is unheard of for children to vanish in this city. But there's a first time for everything. And, as time begins to pass, and the boy is still nowhere to be found, Avraham finds himself facing the horrible truth.
