Three Pines is made up of good people, but one of them is festering. The discovery of the dead body of well-known local artist Jane Neal sparks a manhunt, and Chief Inspector Armand Gamanche and his colleagues from the Sûreté du Québec are at a loss to explain why anyone should want to kill her.
