The honorary consul

This story tells of Charley Fortnum, the 'Honorary Consul', a whisky-sodden figure of dubious authority kidnapped by a group of revolutionaries. As local doctor, Eduardo Plarr, negotiates for Fortnum's release, their corruption becomes evident.
