A Celebration with Sophie Hannah
We are delighted to be hosting Sophie Hannah for a celebration of her much-anticipated new title No One Would Do What the Lamberts Have Done, released on the 19th June.
Author of eleven Culver Valley police procedurals (starting with Little Face), six Agatha Christie continuations of Hercule Poirot (from the Monogram Murders to The Last Death of the Year due in October 2025), plus many stand-alone titles, celebrated local novelist Sophie Hannah will be speaking about her latest release, No One Would Do What the Lamberts Have Done. Why not join us for what promises to be a great evening?
You think it will never happen to you: the ring of the bell, the policeman on the doorstep. What he says traps you in a nightmare, and there seems to be no way out. It starts with the words, ‘I’m afraid…’
Sally Lambert is afraid too, and desperate enough to consider the unthinkable. Is it really, definitely, impossible to escape from this horror? Maybe not. There’s always something you can do, right?
Of course, no one would ever do this particular something – except the Lamberts, who might have to.
No one has ever gone this far. Until Sally decides that the Lamberts will…
Pre-order your own personalised, signed copy and collect on the night or have it sent to you on publication day (19th June).
Review from Alex Michaelides - “An incident involving a dog in a small village escalates to an all-out conflict, turning neighbour against neighbour, and culminating in murder. But who did it? Who was it done to? You'll have to read to the final line to find out! Hugely entertaining and infectiously funny.”

When: Thursday June 26th at 6.30pm.
