Secondhand Books
On top of the 5200+ books on the ground floor, upstairs is the new home of Richard’s collection of vintage, and more recent, crime fiction, gathered over fifty years. New arrivals are added to the shelves regularly, either from that collection or from book-buying trips we take in search of yet more books.
The different sections are Golden Age, Hard-boiled & Espionage, Traditional & Procedural, Historical Whodunnits, Crime in Translation, Cambridge (Crime, Non-fiction & Fiction), and General Crime Fiction. Also, there are always a pile of Penguin Greens to dig through.
As listing them all would be a momentous task we’ve uploaded photos of the shelves in each department and will update on consecutive weeks – so do check back!
